Pug

My pug just lost his brother. They both got sick at the same time this last spring Trouble, my remaining pug, has diabetes, gall bladder issues and stones, and one eye was just removed. The other eye should probably be removed also, it has glacoma and cataracs.

I am reluctant to put the little guy thru this surgery just 3 weeks after the first eye was removed. I would like to see if we can get his diabetes and gall bladder regulated at least before another surgery. He is depressed, and had never been left alone, yet alone blind, until a month ago when his brother died. I am thinking about rescuing another dog to keep him company, but I am not sure if that will be stressful or helpful.

Any suggestions are appreciated.
