I have a 5 year old pug who was bitten by a dog who had caused damage to her eye and it popped out. My vet has been amazing with fixing her and getting her on the road to recovery. I am trying to stay positive but it is very emotionally draining.
They currently have her eye stitched close to let the healing begin and we won’t know the outcome till the end of the month after the stitches are removed. I am nervous about the possibility of the eye not going back in and healing correctly and preparing myself for the eye being removed but reading everyone’s comments gives me hope that no matter what happens my dog Makayla will be ok and better off if she is not in pain.
I would do anything for her!

Our little Oscar had a bulging eye (he was already blind in both eyes when he came to us as a foster) and we opted to have the eye removal surgery. He was tired the first day, but we didn’t experience anything else- he ate and drank later that night and went outside when he had to go. It healed up quickly (it is hard to look at at first when it’s swollen) and he’s doing so much better than before the surgery. He’s more spunky, playful, and has no trouble getting around. I’m sorry you’re going through this with your fur baby, but they are truly resilient animals and she will be okay 🙂

I hope that Makayla recovers 100%. I just found out that due to a growth and uveitis, that my Lab mix pup who is about 8-9 years old, will need her left eye removed and like you, it is draining me. I feel so bad for her. Otherwise, she is perfectly healthy. I wish you the best with your pup !
