Hi all! I am planning to adopt an old blind dachshund on Monday if he is not claimed by his owners. His name is Braille and both of his eyes were removed at some point, but they were never closed up with sutures. I was hoping I could get some advice on how to care for his eye sockets or if it’s possible to have them sutured up now (or if it’s even worth it). He is a darling little dog that wasn’t cared for very well and I want to make sure that he is healthy and happy for the rest of his life, however long that might be. Thanks!

It’s probably worth a trip to the vet just to get him checked over and to see what sort of advice they have about his eyes.
